Ohio - Kentucky Water Resources Mediation Underway
Edelstein Associates was recently selected by the U.S. EPA and parties in the states of Ohio and Kentucky to mediate a cross-border dispute over drinking water and wastewater issues. This situation highlights key issues related to the intersection between the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.
Coastal Zone Management Act Report Now Available
The final report from the year-long initiative, Envisioning the Future of Coastal Management, is now available. Jeff Edelstein led the facilitation team for this national initiative, aimed towards reauthorization of the Coastal Zone Management Act. The report describes cornerstones, core principles and options for a new approach to managing the nation's coasts.
Vermont Waste Prevention Initiative Nearing Completion
The final report for this statewide collaborative process will be issued in March, 2008. Jeff Edelstein has served as the facilitator for this initiative, coordinating the efforts of a multi-stakeholder steering committee and five technical subcommittees addressing the areas of organic wastes, recyclables, construction debris, e-waste, and household hazardous wastes.
